GOD’S HOTLINE

“Make haste, O God, to deliver
me; make haste to help me, O Lord.”
Psalm 70: 1
King James Version
There are times when we can’t wait for the doctor’s office to open so we
go to the emergency room at the hospital. Many times we have a heavy
burden and there is nobody around to pray for us. It is then that we
need to use God’s Hotline. He already knows that we are in tremendous
pain and feel all alone, but He wants us to come to Him and tell Him
about it.
Sometimes the night seems so long and we wonder if morning will ever
come. We need to talk to somebody but we are reluctant to call in the
middle of the night. God is always ready to listen to us no matter what
time it is and we can go to Him and tell Him what is hurting us. He
doesn’t have an answering machine and He never puts us on hold.
Our families, loved ones and friends also need for us to listen to them
when they are hurting. They need reassurance that Jesus Loves them and
we need to put our arms around them and give them a hug for Jesus. It is
vital that they know that Jesus cares and understands how they are
feeling. We must be available for each other because all of us need help
at times.
If you have a heartache and are feeling frightened, confused and lonely,
go to Jesus. He will listen to you and tell you what needs to be done in
the situation. It is very important that after we tell Him how we are
feeling that we be quiet and allow Him to talk to us. Take your burdens
to Jesus and leave them there. Allow Him to take away the pain in your
heart. We have a wonderful Saviour and He Loves us very much.
