GOD’S SUPPORT TEAM

“But charge Joshua, and encourage
him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he
shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.”

I have received twenty four emails in the last month from people who are
hurting. There is an urgency to become a member of God’s support team.
One day, you may be the person who is hurting and needs encouragement,
support and love.
A dear pastor friend of mine in Texas who I have known for over twenty
years once said, “If you complain about a problem, then you need to be
part of the solution”. If we know someone that has a need and we do
nothing about it, not only are we not extending the Love of Jesus to
that person, we are breaking the Heart of our Saviour.
We may not be able to do the things that we would like to do for Jesus
because of family commitments and our jobs, but all of us can be an
encouragement to one another. Jesus has told us to encourage people
because He knows first hand how lonely and hurt someone can feel. He was
hurt more than any person will ever be hurt. The tragic thing is that we
still hurt Him today by not encouraging people and bearing their
burdens.
O that we would fall in love with Jesus and focus all our time, talents,
and energy on making Him happy! If ever someone deserves to be happy, it
is Jesus! Are you on God’s support team, or are you just ignoring the
situation thinking someone else will do it? You may be the one that
Jesus wants to use to encourage and minister to someone. Are you ready
to be used by Jesus? Are you willing to be used by Him?
