HAVE YOU SEEN HIM
by Joanne Lowe July 5, 2006
“Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but
on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am
come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not
abide in darkness.”
John 12: 44 – 46
King James Version
I just heard a song on the radio “O what a moment when we see Jesus”.
Until we see Jesus through the darkness of our sins, we will never see
the light of the world, because He is the light of the world. All of us
must acknowledge that Jesus is indeed the Saviour of the world. We need
to accept His finished work on the cross for us. When He cried “It’s
finished”, He shed His precious blood for the forgiveness of our sins.
One day, He is coming back for us and we will see Him face to face! If
we haven’t accepted Him into our hearts and asked Him to forgive our
sins, we will not go to live with Him. We will go to live with satan for
eternity. Many years ago, I had a terrible temper and sometimes got so
angry at someone that I would say “go to hell”. My heart has broken many
times over that since I came to realize that it is an eternity without
Jesus.
If we have invited the Christ of Calvary into our hearts, people should
hear Jesus in our words, and see Him in our actions. We should be loving
others to Him. We can accept Him with our minds and our words, but until
we invite Him into our hearts to be our Saviour, we will never be saved
and have a personal relationship with Him.
Has there been a time in your life when you saw Jesus as a beacon of
light and hope through the darkness of your sins? Has the blood of Jesus
been applied to your heart? Do you have a personal relationship with the
Saviour of the world?
