IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM

by

“He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.”

Psalm 91: 15
King James Version

There are times in our lives when we are in the middle of storms. We have storms of criticism, sarcasm, hatred, ridicule, and dishonesty. I received an email yesterday from a friend who said that she had been attacked for something she wrote in her newsletter. It is time we stop judging others, and start judging ourselves. None of us are perfect. All of us sin and fail Jesus.

When all hell comes against us and we feel like we have lost even our best friend on earth, Jesus promises us that He will be with us. All we have to do is call upon Him and He will be faithful to kiss our tears away and heal the hurt in our hearts. Jesus is the Best Friend you will ever have. He will never leave you or hurt you.

Jesus told us that not only will He be with us, He will deliver us. He will deliver us from a broken heart if we will only ask Him. He sees into our hearts and feels the pain and anguish as nobody else can feel it. There are times when we need Him to pour His Compassion into our hearts.

Jesus also has pain from storms. He feels our rejection, our unbelief, and our doubts. It hurts Him when we ignore Him most of the day. We need to stop hurting Jesus and stop causing Him pain. If you’re hurting today, reach out to Jesus. He is a Friend Who will never leave you, and will always understand.
