NO TRUST

authority doest thou these things? And who gave thee this authority to
do these things? And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask
of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what
authority I do these things”

How many times do we fly in an airplane, ride in a bus or taxi, and ask
to see the driver’s or pilot’s license before we leave? We have more
trust in men than we do in the Saviour of the world. When we sit down in
a chair, we don’t even think about it. We trust that it won’t break, yet
we question Jesus and His Love for us. May God forgive us!
We will never be able to accomplish anything that will last without
Jesus. Yes, we may do things but they won’t have the power and authority
behind them that Jesus can give when we do them in His Name. We can
trust Jesus to walk with us every step of the way. He will be faithful
to guide, protect, and comfort us through every trial.
We don’t question our parent’s authority when they tell us to do things.
We just do them, yet we question Jesus who died for us and has the right
and authority to tell us everything. We have more trust in the weather
reports than we do in Jesus. Jesus has told us that He is coming back
for us and to be ready, however we treat it as something that will
happen in the future. He could come back even as I type this.
My bags are packed and I have a reservation for Heaven. I made a heart
commitment to Jesus as my personal Saviour. Are you ready to meet Him?
Have you invited the Christ of Calvary into your heart? If not, do it
now before it’s too late.
