OUR DELIVERER
by Joanne Lowe June 20, 2006
“I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of
Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands
of your yoke, and made you go upright.”
Leviticus 26: 13
King James Version
Jesus brought us out of bondage to sin when He was crucified for us.
Yet, many times even after we accept Him as our personal Saviour we go
back into the bondage of drugs, alcohol, sex, and all other things that
hurt Him. When we are tempted to go back to our old habits, we need to
run as fast as we can to Jesus and let Him protect us from ourselves.
He lifts us up and makes a straight path for us to walk, a path of
forgiveness, mercy, understanding and compassion. What a wonderful
Saviour we have, this Jesus of Nazareth! He defeated Satan on the cross,
but we have to let Him protect us from Satan and the evils of this
world. It is very important that we do not run around with the crowd
that we did before He rescued us out of sin.
I was under the yoke of depression for many years, but in His tender
mercy and kindness He lifted me up and placed me in His lap of Love and
I have never been the same. I receive so many emails from people who are
depressed and discouraged. I submit to you on the Authority of the Word
of God that if you will immediately run to Jesus when you are
discouraged and depressed, He will be faithful to rescue you.
If you are hurting today and you are under bondage to something that is
not pleasing to Jesus, go to Him and allow Him to remove that yoke. He
Loves you and wants you to be happy. Give your entire life to Him and
let Him be the Master of your life. You will have a peace that you have
never known.
