OUR HEAVENLY FATHER
by Joanne Lowe
June 18, 2006
“Behold the fowls of the air: for
they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your
heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”
Matthew 6: 26
King James Version
Today is Father’s Day and most of us, if our dads are living, will buy
them a gift. All of us can give a gift to our Heavenly Father. The only
difference is that we can’t buy Him a gift. The gift that we give Him
has to come from our hearts. He gave us the greatest gift that anyone
could ever give, His Son, Jesus. Our Heavenly Father feeds us with the
Love of Jesus every day of our lives. If God wasn’t such a loving
Father, we would not have Jesus.
It makes earthly parents very happy when someone is kind to their
children. Let’s treat Jesus with kindness and love so that God will be
happy today. The way we treat Jesus with love and kindness is by being
loving and kind to each other. The Bible says “And the King shall answer
and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it
unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.
(Matthew 25: 40) King James Version
Let’s make a special effort to be kind to our loved ones and friends
today. We should do something special so that God will know that we love
His Son. Do you love Jesus? You may be saved, but do you love Him? If
so, what are you doing to make Him happy?
Happy Father’s Day to You, our wonderful and loving Heavenly Father!
Thank You for loving us and for the precious gift of your Son. We love
You, Father, and we appreciate all that You do for us.
