THE BEGINNING OF LOVE
by Joanne Lowe June 20, 2006
“For unto you is born this day in
the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be
a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.”
Luke 2: 11, 12
King James Version
This day was the beginning of the Love of Jesus for us. What a glorious
day! This sweet Baby came to bring us love; He lived on earth, grew up,
suffered and died for us so that we may have redemption from our sins.
There is no person capable of this kind of love but we are to strive to
love others as He Loves us. We are to love unconditionally as He Loves
us.
The love of our Saviour is matchless! Nothing or nobody compares to
Jesus! He is the Saviour of the world! He is the best Friend that you
will ever have and He is faithful, compassionate, tender, forgiving,
understanding, merciful, kind, gracious, giving and He is our Comforter.
We should be able to say this every day of our lives, that Jesus has
more of our lives. Every day Jesus should become more evident in our
words and actions. People need to feel the Love of Jesus flowing from
us. There are so many people who are lonely, hurting, and empty inside
and they need His Love.
Jesus was not born in a palace. He was born in a manger because nobody
had room for Him. Today, sad to say, the same holds true for a lot of
people. They have room for activities, sports and television, but they
don’t have room for Jesus. Do you have room in your heart for Jesus?
Does He control your life, or are you still hanging on to things that
displease Him? Open your heart and life to Him and give Him a place of
rest. He Loves you and longs to fellowship with you.
